Another Testimony (to the Weigh Down Diet)
Ugg…been hard to get online time. Doing a big “clear out” project (a 3 car garage and a storage unit)…must sort, donate, keep or toss…but it is very time consuming as I also have a busy 4 kid family to be there for
Here’s what I am doing…fyi: The Weight Down “Diet” (it’s not a diet, though).
It starts as a 12 week CHRISTIAN oriented re-programming yourself to your natural healthy eating deliverance from over-eating (or whatever your addiction is).
The entire video series is now online if you wish to join me. (It’s also part of a church the founder started but I have nothing to do with that. Her church denies the Holy Trinity. So, not really Christian. But, the program itself is really good. Many people lost hundreds of pounds safely and freed from their addictions but simply eating when hungry (wait until you hear the growl) and stopping when politely full. That is how our designer made us. He made us to work. We messed ourselves up. So, that’s the gist of it.).
Here’s the first video…they go Video for week 1, video 1, week1 video 2, etc….week 12, video1..week 12, video 2…etc…You watch one a day for 12 weeks in order.
Her books can be had cheaply (the Weight Down Diet and Rise Above) from a used book store. I got one for 3bucks. Worth it.
She says to only weigh in once a week because we are addicted to that even. TRUST God. Eat His designed way and week after week you WILL see results (1-4.5 lbs a week are normal dep. of course on how heavy you are….the heavier, the more you lose).
Here again, video one…let me know if you are going to join me..we can then check in at least weekly if we don’t daily….I’ll see what I can fit in to record and share and check w/ you.

Best wishes to you!

Hey!
I’m here and happy to say I did indeed get a new computer!
I am so glad!!!
I got an iMac! It’s wonderful (and so pretty). I never had a Mac before, so learning how to use it. After a slight learning, I’ll be posting! I did weigh in today at 174.5 (lower)..so doing well. Just eyeballing it. No official “recordings”
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! See you soon in 2010!! :))

(Trying hard to get online! My Dell XPS laptop just crashed and my PC is wacked…it freezes all the time or crashes. My kids have netbooks and school laptops but it’s hard to sneak onto them.). My plan is to get a new PC for Christmas :)
) Hello to my new “buddies” and if I am not as buddy-ish as you’d like, it’s only due to the PC access problems…which should be cleared up soon!! I ‘ll do my best to check in!!
Did fine all weekend and weighed in daily (BUT I NEVER WILL POST ON WEEKENDS. THAT IS MY FAMLY TIME. I TREASURE IT.).
Got my “monthly visitor” and will not weigh in (I always put on 5lbs water weight …but it just discourages me even if I know it!). I will keep journaling as I can!
B: 180 cal. , 4.5 g fat, 12 g protein. @ 7am (rather eat later, but I was hungry)
~be back for lunch/updates. Drinking coffee and green tea. ~

Ok, that really helped me to “journal” my eats…made me be aware & that was super needed in my case.
Weigh-in early, but who cares, it was a 1lb. 4.5lb loss. That is going the correct direction.
So, here I am. Day 2 of food journaling to be aware of what I am eating as I want to take the next 4 months to get back into shape. Miss my clothes hanging in my closet and my high energy!
Breakfast. 180cal, 5g fat, 12g pro.
I weighed myself again at mid-day as when I weighed myself in the morning I was falling over tired and thought I probably did not do it right and didn’t care (I was that tired)…and you always weigh more in the afternoon, and here I weighed in at 176.5 which is better than my all time high of 180. It seems like a huge drop, but it’s just water weight from the non-healthy foods…like eating msg in a meal (that always gives me a 3lb water weight gain the next day so I don’t even blink an eye over it anymore as it comes then goes).
Lunch: 180 cal, 4.5 g fat, 20g pro
Going to do some housecleaning. Husband comes home from Hawaii tomorrow and we (if he is not too tired) will go to cut down our family tree from a family tree farm and it’s a bunch of fun and great memories….then put it up. We our new home we can get a biggie (tall wise) finally and I hope we do (if our SUV can carry it lol).
Dinner: 180 cal, 5 g fat, 12 pro
Drinking coffee & organic green tea.
Running Subtotal: 540 calories Feeling: Satisfied & very Tired. Hard week alone & outnumbered w/ hubby in HNL.
~be back for rest of day as it occurs~and it will. I will not just eat 540 calories, or I’ll just binge tomorrow from hunger!
~
Was unable to return….had a tuna sandwhich besides the above (f/f ranch, mustard, drained tuna in water, 9 grain whole wheat bread).

I did remember that I want to start to JOURNAL my food intake/exercise so that I am more aware as I lost awareness and just go through the day lately. Terrible! It’s like a mind fog. I was so happy I remembered to write this down today…hopefully it will now keep me on track and alert. I’m not going to do weigh-ins yet…right now I want just to have the habit of being aware and the discipline of journaling it down! Being aware. Then, I can start going for it in a more guerrilla manner and meet my goals.
(If interested, I am exactly where my weight chart shows. I am 5 foot 9. Female.)
Breakfast: 190 calories, 4 g fat, 12 g protein
Lunch: 180 cal, 4.5 g fat, 20g protein
Subtotal: 370 cal.
(I break meals up if I wish into smaller ones, thus lunch 1, lunch 2)
Stomach growls. (To me, when you are overweight and trying to lose weight by consuming less, this is a gimme. Body is spoiled and wants what it’s used to. It’s not actual hunger. That feeling is totally different and YOU KNOW when you are REALLY hungry. That’s my ever-be-humble opinion on it.)
Lunch 2: 180cal , 4.5 g fat , 12pro. (same meal, actually, just again)
Running Subtotal: 550 calories.
I will fit some nice warm organic green teas in today, but thus far, just coffee
I am glad thus far I am having an active conscious (aware) of what I am doing and eating. I really need that as a discipline. When you go through the day mindless, you never do well, eh? Lots to be done, but we need to take care of ourselves so we are at optimum health. At optimum health, we have more energy to do so much more! I know for me that is true! I am currently run down. That’s not good. Not for me or my surroundings.
Headed out.
Back in from shopping but headed back out soon to head up to the HS to show up at the astronomy class with her and look at the stars/moon outside w/ neat equipment.
Eating: 1 normal sized green apple
Drink a cup of green tea afterwards.
Time now: 4pm.
Dinner: 240 cal, 4.5 g fat, 12 pro.
Running Sub-Total: 790 calories
*Will see if I can fit in running tonight. Will come back to post final total.
Dinner 2: (unknown cal. etc. info) but I had a water-packed-drained can of tuna (most) mixed with a dot of mustard and fat free ranch and celery seeds on whole 7 grain wheat bread…tuna sandwich
No formal exercise.
Note to self:
No willpower. No motivation. No weightloss effort. I just can’t seem my head into gear. Tired.
Not sure WHY.
It’s a very sad place to be (seemingly!) “stuck” at.
So, I am going to TRY to get ONLINE and maybe that effort will make me more “aware” and conscious of my desire to get back into fighting shape ;)…because the day goes by and I don’t even think about it (how I eat or anything). Hopefully, by having it mentally in my head that I will go online and journal it will snap my mind into “think and be alert” mode. Because, I do care! I just feel energy zappage. That never defined me as a person, so I don’t like it one bit.
